Current Beauty and Skincare Favourites

So it's been a while but I'm back to share with you my current favourite beauty and skincare products. These are all products which I have been using for at least the last couple of months and that I absolutely love and would highly recommend.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - £40
When I was given this cleanser a few months ago I was really excited to try it as I have never used a cleansing balm before and I have to say that I have been converted. I was really impressed with how effectively this removed my makeup, it melts through heavy eyeshadow and liquid lipstick with ease and doesn't leave a residue on the skin when it is washed off with warm water. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling super clean, but not stripped, as well as moisturised and incredibly soft. I have almost finished this tub and I really want to repurchase it but the price is holding me back. I think I am going to try some of the less expensive cleansing balms on the market and see how they compare. If you can stomach the price tag then I do highly recommend this!

Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub - Cherry Soda - £12
As a lover of matte lipsticks, which are notoriously drying, lip scrubs are an essential product in my beauty routine to prevent my lips looking dry and chapped. For years I have been using the Lush lip scrubs but I wanted to give the Jeffree Star ones a try as I have heard great things about them and they come is a range of delicious flavours. I picked up Cherry Soda from the Valentine's Day Love Sick collection which comes in this limited edition red packaging and smells and tastes amazing, just like cherry drop sweets! Like most lip scrubs, this is a sugar scrub which means it is edible so once you have rubbed it over your lips you can lick away the excess and it tastes lovely! I really like this formula as the sugar granules are large and really exfoliating but it is skill moisturising and leaves your lips feeling smooth and hydrated.

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm - Natural Mint - £7.25
Lip balm is a makeup bag staple all year round but especially during this never ending winter we seem to be stuck with at the moment! I first decided to try the Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy Balm after two of my favourite beauty influencers Leesha (xSparkage) and Christine (Temptalia) both said that it was their holy grail lip balm. As I tend to wear lipstick during the day I normally put this on before bed as an overnight treatment or during the day on no makeup days. This performs really well over night and I wake up with super soft lips in the morning. I also really love using this lip balm in the summer as I normally wear less makeup then and this has SPF 25 to stop your lips from burning. It may be a little more pricey than your average lip balm but it is definitely worth it, this is actually my second tube and I will repurchase it again and again.

MAC Cosmetics Lip Stick - Velvet Teddy (Matte Finish) - £17.50 and MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner - Spice - £14
This is my go-to lip combo at the moment as it is just so wearable and goes with whatever other makeup you are wearing. Velvet Teddy is described as a matte 'deep tone beige' and Spice as a 'pink cinnamon stick' and this is the kind of nude lipstick I like to wear. I think they work perfectly together if you want a slightly darker lip line which can give the illusion of fuller lips. They blend into each other well and for a matte lipstick I don't find this particularly drying. My Velvet Teddy is a mini sized version from a Christmas gift set and I am quickly working my way through it so plan on buying a full sized one as soon as I run out!

Let me know if you try any of these products out and if you have any recommendations for me!
