Lush Halloween Collection

Autumn is well and truly here which means it is bath season, and Halloween (my favourite time of year)! Lush manages to combine these two wonderful things with a Halloween collection full of spooky bathtime treats! This year there is a mixture of returning fan favourites and new additions so  I picked up almost all of the bath products to keep me stocked up until Christmas!

Describing scents is really hard and smell is such a personal thing that something I love, another person could hate. I'm going to give you a quick run through of everything I picked up, Lush's scent descriptions and my initial thoughts on those I have tried. If your not sold on the scent descriptions but are intrigued by some of these products I suggest going in store to smell them because sometimes they are much different to what you would expect!

Bewitched
This adorable black cat is a Bubble Bar, brand new for 2017, which turns your bath a very spooky shade of black with a hint of glitter! The scent is described as blackberry, olibanum and begamot and I have to say, it is really strong. This is the only product I have used so far from this collection and I was impressed with the scent which lasted throughout my bath and lingered afterwards as well. One of the great things about Lush Bubble Bars is that you can use them more them once making them one of the best value for money products. I used about a third of this bar and it created more than enough bubbles. The black water was very unusual, Lush baths are normally so bright, but I loved that it was very much in keeping with the theme of the collection. Also it didn't stain the bath which is always a plus!

Ectoplasm
Ectoplasm is the product I am most excited to try this year as it one of Lush's new Jelly Bombs, which supposedly turn the water into jelly!?! This one is scented with tangerine, grapefruit and litsea cubeba oil and to me just smells very fruity. I plan on posting a review of this once I have used it to let you know how it worked!

Monsters' Ball
This cute 'lil guy looks like he is straight out of Monsters' Inc. and I am so happy to see that Lush brought him back because I love it one and think I bought three last year! This Bath Bomb creates gorgeous pink and blue swirls in the water before turning a deep pinky purple colour and is scented with lime, neroli and olibanum oil.
Pumpkin
I feel like the Pumpkin Bath Bomb is the most autumnal product in this collection, with its classic pumpkin shape and a scent which is a mix of vanilla, cinnamon and pimento berry. I had this last year as well and I remember that it smelt like I had been burning a lovely spicy candle and baking.

Lord of Misrule
The Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb is one of the classic Lush Halloween products and a fan favourite which returns every year. There is popping candy inside it which makes it fizz and pop like crazy and once it has dissolved the water turns a rich berry colour that always reminds me of Ribena. The scent is patchouli, vanilla and black pepper oil and Lord of Misrule is also available as a Shower Cream if you do like the smell.

Sparkly Pumpkin
Another iconic Lush Halloween product the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar,  is the Pumpkin Spiced Latte of the collection. I always find it to be a lot fruiter than I would expect it to be with juniperberry, lime and grapefruit oil. This Bubble Bar is very glittery, so you will need to rinse the bath after you are done, but it is worth it as it has a lovely scent, creates a lot of bubbles and orange water.

There is one other Bubble Bar available this year which is Pink Pumpkin but when I smelt it in store I didn't really like it so gave it a miss. There are also loads more non-bath based Halloween products available including soap, lip scrub, shower cream and gift packs.

If there is something here that takes your fancy, I highly suggest getting down to your local Lush soon as these are all limited edition items and won't be around forever! If you don't have a Lush near you can also find everything on their website here.
